There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about me. I hope you enjoy my site and take a moment to drop me a line.
I am happy to hear from you!
I received my bachelor’s degree from Yangon University of Foreign Languages, having majored in Russian Language and Literature, and minored in linguistics, philosophy, and international relations. I also hold a post-graduate diploma in International Studies from Chung-Ang University and University of Yangon, and English diploma from Yangon University of Foreign Languages. Despite my linguistics background, I am enthusiastic about pursuing my master’s degree in Business Administration to expand my academic and professional horizons.
In 2017, I started working with the Russian Embassy in Myanmar and translated Kir Bulychev’s novel “Меч Генерала Бандулы: The Sword of General Bandula” into Burmese and got it published in 2019. It was also my very first publication which set a great milestone in the sphere of Russian language. Following that publication, I got an offer from Tuttle Publishing to author a couple of Burmese language books for foreigners and started working on “Essential Burmese Phrasebook & Dictionary” which was published in April 2020. Some other books I have recently worked on include Burmese Reading & Writing for Beginners, Burmese Picture Dictionary, and Burmese Stories for Language Learners. They are expected to be released in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
I am an enthusiastic and creative individual with strong writing and communication skills, as well as experienced in leading a team and program management. I work well under pressure and can produce high-quality work in short periods of time. I have strong interpersonal skills and work with a wide variety of people in a timely manner. Currently I am exploring the digital marketing sector at an internationally recognized social business called Proximity Designs that is helping rural families in Myanmar. Prior to this full time work experience, I have done internships at the international organizations such as UNDP and also attended several international conferences. Find out more about my projects and international conferences I have attended here.
Besides studies, I enjoy learning new languages and teaching my native language to those who are interested. I began conducting Burmese classes for expatriates in Yangon in 2013 when I was still an undergraduate student. Now I have been conducting Burmese Language Courses in Yangon for 9 years, using the curriculums which I particularly designed for those whose native language is not Burmese. My students range from the beginner level up to the advanced one. Find out more about my courses here.
